Connecting to the Earth, Finding Healing: A Retreat for Women Veterans
Bernadette Rudolph
November 19, 2022
Modern life in America has disconnected most of us from the Earth. We seldom have the time or the opportunity to be in nature. Separated from our Mother, we lose the resources that nurture us and the comforting touch that heals us. The results can be seen internally in rising rates of anxiety and depression and externally in social unrest and global warming.
Cranaleith is a beautiful space for reconnecting with nature and enjoying the renewal that happens as a result. At this retreat, we will walk the grounds together slowly and with senses open. We will spend time in four areas: among the trees, in open space, on the hillside and beside the waters.
Quiet time, conversation, writing and art will be woven into the day. Much of the day will be spent outside, unless it is raining, so please dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes you can get dirty. Please bring a blanket or sit-upon. Warm, delicious food and drink will be served.
Transportation assistance is available. Please contact programs@cranaleith.org to make arrangements.
