Twilight Time: Betwixt and Between
Bernadette Rudolph
August 26, 2021
Summer twilight steals upon us after long luxurious days of warmth. Darkness relieves the heat, beckons with sleep. Is it day or is it night? Do we scramble to fit in last tasks? In this time when none of our categories fit, when relief and sadness mingle, the Spirit whispers to us in the gloaming and the evening breeze.
Bernadette will draw attention to the richness of the twilight time through prayer, Scripture and poetry, before everyone finds a quiet spot to sit with the settling darkness. At full dark, retreatants will have the opportunity to share the evening’s experiences of night fall with the group around a camp fire.
Watch as the light changes: life veiled, God’s mercy revealed.
