Rediscovering Your Vocation as a Catholic School Educator

Bernadette Rudolph

April 12, 2025

Why did you get into Catholic education?  When did you realize that God called you to this work?  Although a sense of vocation can get lost amid day-to-day responsibilities and challenges, educators find their strength in their relationship with God and with students, peers and families.  Join others who share your calling as you trace your path back to the wellspring that feeds your efforts.

The focus of the retreat will be on recognizing the spiritual resource flowing through your relationships at work.  To accomplish this, the day will include prayer, poetry, input from Bernadette, lectio divina, song, quiet reflection and small- and large-group discussion.  Of course, there will be time on Cranaleith’s lovely ten acres, weather permitting, because God’s creation also opens for us an opportunity to be inspired by God’s creativity and love.

Come ready to rediscover what you already know: God has called you to your ministry as a Catholic school educator.  Be refreshed, supported and inspired to continue God’s good work in the world!

Four hours of professional development through Act 48 are available to PA certified teachers.  (Cranaleith is an approved Act 48 provider.)  This will be an interactive program.

Past participants have said:

  • This was a perfect start to the new year. I feel ready to begin.
  • The focus on relationships resonated with my experiences. Teaching is about who we meet and how we meet them.
