Ella Guimond works as a Community Engagement Manager on the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic team at Catholic Relief Services. As Community Engagement Manager, Ella works with Catholic institutions, particularly parishes, universities, and high schools to raise awareness on global issues and promote global solidarity. Prior to CRS, Ella served as a Community Coordinator at the Casa de la Solidaridad in El Salvador. She then worked as the Service-Learning Placement Coordinator for the Faith-Justice Institute at Saint Joseph’s University. Ella has her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies with minors in Spanish and Peace and Justice Studies from the University of San Diego. She also serves on the Board of the Directors of the Centro Ignacio Ellacuría program in El Salvador. Ella also works at BPM Fitness teaching cycling classes and high intensity interval training. She also a Mindfulness Based Stress reduction certification from the University of Pennsylvania Counseling Center. Ella lives in Fairmount, Philadelphia.
