October 26, 2021
As Chair of the Board at Cranaleith, I want to inform you that Deborah Kost, Executive Director, plans to leave Cranaleith on February 15, 2022. Deborah joined Cranaleith as Executive Director in September 2020. She began her tenure at a most difficult and uncertain time as the global pandemic caused us to shut down the center, work remotely, and suspend much of our business-as-usual operations. The impact of the pandemic certainly created challenges for Cranaleith requiring us to serve our mission in different ways. However, due to Deborah’s strong leadership, Cranaleith has emerged from the worst of the pandemic with a new spirit of energy and a capability that positions us well to meet the future with optimism and confidence.
On behalf of the entire board, staff, volunteers, friends, and partners, I want to express my sincere thanks to Deborah for her considerable contributions to Cranaleith. We continue to pray for, and ask God to bless, Deborah and her family as she begins a new chapter in her life.
The Board will immediately initiate a search for a new Executive Director to take up the appointment no later than February 15, 2022. If you or someone you know is qualified to be considered for this important role, please let me know by email at [email protected].
Stephen G. Hart
Board Chair
Dear Cranaleith Community,
I have had a blessed career working with remarkably passionate and brilliant people. After much reflection, I have decided to retire on February 15, 2022. It is now time, after educating and serving others, to enjoy the kind of flexibility in my life that will enable me to spend more time with family and friends.
I am proud of the initiatives and growth we, the staff, volunteers, board members, board committee members and I, achieved amidst the trials and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cranaleith is poised for the future; in the meantime, there is much work to do until February.
It is my hope that you have benefitted from my support and service as I have from you and your influence on me. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for the tremendous opportunity I received in serving and leading this incredible ministry. I genuinely wish Cranaleith and each of you the very best.
Appreciatively,
Deborah Kost
