Sara Brabec is Catholic secondary school educator living and working in Sacramento, California. Born and raised in suburban Chicago, she has called California home for more than a decade. She currently directs a high school service and justice program, inviting students and colleagues into transformative encounter with the purpose of deeper social analysis, faith reflection, and action on behalf of justice. While not currently in the classroom, she has taught Catholic Social Teaching, ethics, and scripture classes for the last 7 years. In addition to her work in schools, she has training and experience as a retreat director and spiritual director, with special interest in Ignatian spirituality. She holds an M.Div. from Santa Clara University and an M.A. in Ethics and Social Theory from the Graduate Theological Union.
