Tylia Barnes Oladipo

Tylia Barnes Oladipo is Executive Director of the Institute Office of Association and a Mercy Associate with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. As Executive Director, she leads 3000 associates in 11 countries across the Americas, Philippines, Jamaica, and the territory of Guam. She also serves as an Anti-Racism and Racial Equity facilitator in her organization, highlighting her commitment to justice and inclusivity. Tylia embodies Association’s mission, orchestrating Institute-wide activities with compassion, integrity, and a commitment to Mercy values.

Tylia’s academic path showcases her dedication to excellence and spiritual maturation. With a BA in communications, she became a Mercy Emerging Leaders Fellow, fostering female leadership in the global Mercy community. Post-graduation, she mentors women internationally.

Compelled by a thirst for knowledge and spiritual calling, Tylia has earned a Master of Arts in Faith and Leadership Formation from Campbell University Divinity School. She also has a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Cranaleith Spiritual Center, serving as a companion for individuals on their journey towards a deeper connection with God.

Outside her professional life, Tylia finds joy as a wife and mother of three sons. She enjoys creative pursuits like candle-making and unwinding with a good book in her hammock.
