Gerry was the Pastor to Youth and Families at Wayne Presbyterian Church for nearly 15 years before going into private practice in 2006 as a marriage and family counselor.  His office is in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, where he and Carey also live.  They have been married for 35 years and have two grown sons and a daughter-in-law.

Carey serves as the executive director of Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels, a small non profit in NW Philly, and has been involved in community non profit work for three decades. She founded CityLights, an urban/suburban network, and facilitates community and faith gatherings and art retreats.  She enjoys hosting guests and creating meaningful celebrations in their home.

Gerry and Carey met at Princeton Theological Seminary and hold Doctor of Ministry degrees in counseling and congregational mission respectively. They love to travel, hike, read, and garden together, and enjoy encouraging others toward stronger marriages.
