Valerie Lee-Jeter is a native Philadelphian and forty-year member of St. Vincent De Paul Parish where she is also the Music Director. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Chestnut Hill College and a master’s degree in theological studies with a concentration in liturgy from LaSalle University, both in Philadelphia. Valerie taught elementary music for thirty years in various diocesan schools and is now teaching theology at Mercy Career & Technical High School. She served as an adjunct professor at LaSalle, Chestnut Hill and Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ, teaching liturgy and sacramental theology. She is currently on the board of the National Pastoral Musicians (NPM). Valerie is a mom as well as a grandmom to two young men, 21 & 19.
