VIP Program Recap

September 1, 2024

What moment in your story changed you the most?  What message does your story carry?  What is a moment where you felt your strength despite the violence and grief?  Who do you bring into our circle today?

With these prompts centering their experience, women from Mothers in Charge, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for and lend their unwavering support to those affected by violence, entered into their stories.  Graced by the presence and these women and the wisdom they carry, Cranaleith launched its Violence Intervention Program for Women Caregivers with the program, “Finding the Center of Our Sacred Stories.”  Led by Dawn Hayward and Margie Winters, this program invited participants to step into their stories, to move from sight to insight and discover their compelling reason to share their stories.  During their day, the women created a sacred ritual space for their loved ones, entered into meditation, engaged in freewriting, carried their story into the labyrinth and shared with one another the power of their insights.  Asked about what they would take from Cranaleith this day, some of the graces they received were peace and clarity, stepping into my center, and healing.
