Reserve Our Space

Cranaleith is well-equipped to host your group for off-site meetings, training, conferences, and other events. We offer a variety of unique educational experiences and team-building activities to enhance your agenda. As a mission-driven nonprofit, we welcome groups and organizations seeking extended time together for problem-solving, collaboration, learning, and connection.

We host faith communities from diverse spiritual traditions, health and social service organizations, and schools and universities for retreats, educational programs, strategic planning workshops, and operational meetings. Cranaleith does not host events such as weddings and memorial services.

Frequently Asked Questions About Using Our Space

  • What kind of accommodation does Cranaleith have for overnight stays? What are your check-in and check-out times?

Cranaleith has fourteen (14) beds total, with shared bathrooms. Eleven people can sleep in the Main House, sharing bedrooms and bathrooms, and three people can sleep in the Carriage House. The Carriage House has one shared bathroom plus a kitchenette/living room.

Check-in time for overnight guests is 5PM, and check-out is 11AM. Anyone staying on-site overnight without a vehicle can store their bags in the cloakroom in the Conference Center, if a group’s event is running past 11AM on check-out day.

Due to the historic nature of our sleeping accommodations, they are not handicapped-accessible with multiple sets of stairs required.

  • When and how much of a deposit is required?

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your reservation. This can be paid in with a credit card online, check, or cash.

  • When will we need to make the final payment for the event?

The final payment, final group count and any other changes need to be made two weeks before the reservation date.

  • What time are the meals?

Our standard meal times are 8:30am for breakfast, 12:30pm for lunch, and 5:30pm for dinner. Meal time adjustments must be finalized two weeks in advance so that the kitchen staff has sufficient notice. We also keep coffee, tea, water, and some light snacks available in the lobby outside the conference center rooms.

  • What about guests with dietary restrictions, such as vegan or vegetarian preferences? Are there options available to accommodate them?

We offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian meal options. However, please note that we are not a dedicated gluten-free facility. For guests with severe food allergies, we recommend bringing their own meals to ensure safety.

  • How many round tables will there be available for use in the conference room? Will these be set up for us prior to the event or is this something we need to do upon arrival.

We can set the Conference Room up with 10 round tables, with six chairs at each table. We can also arrange things to your preference as much as possible – rows of chairs with no tables, a circle of chairs, a few rows of chairs or a smaller circle of chairs with two or three round tables, etc.

  • What are the measurements of the table? We would like to get decoration/table clothes for the event. How many chairs can fit comfortably around one of the round tables?

Our round tables at approximately 60” in diameter, and we also have a few 2’x4’ rolling tables that could be placed in the Conference Room for use. The round tables can hold 5-6 chairs comfortably, and the rolling tables can seat two comfortably.

  • We will need audio/visual equipment. Will we need to bring one of our own laptops to connect or is there something there already?

The Conference Room has a wall mounted 80” TV, the McAuley and Board Rooms have a 55” wall mounted TV.

If you have (e.g.) a PowerPoint slideshow on a USB ‘thumb drive’, you can simply plug that into guest laptop. If you want to use your own computer, you can use our existing HDMI cable.

For groups using the McAuley or Board Rooms, it is often easiest to simply bring your own laptop and plug it into the large tv/monitor in each room via an HDMI cable.

  • Are we responsible for anything more than general clean-up upon our exit?

We do ask that people refrain from taking food and drinks into the conference center rooms, but we don’t expect our guests to do heavy cleaning. Trash and recycling cans will be provided, and our staff will take care of cleanup after your event is finished.

  • Are linens and towels provided, or do I need to bring them?

Cranaleith is happy to provide towels and linens. It is not necessary to bring linens with you.

  • What if our group is too large to stay on-site?

If any group has more than 14 people attending, or anyone would prefer to stay in a hotel, Cranaleith has arrangements with a nearby hotel for a discounted rate. If a group anticipates requiring hotel rooms, please contact us and we will forward your information to the hotel so that a block of rooms can be set up (if available). This will ensure your group of obtaining the best room rate available.

  • Are pets allowed?

Cranaleith is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all guests, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We welcome individuals with disabilities who are accompanied by service dogs.

A service dog is defined under the ADA as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. If it is not immediately obvious that a dog is a service dog, we may ask two questions to determine if the dog is a service animal:

    1. Is the dog required because of a disability?

    2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?

We do not ask for documentation or require special identification for service dogs, as the ADA does not mandate such measures. However, we reserve the right to deny access if the dog poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others, or if the dog is not under control.

Please note that pets and emotional support animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and are not permitted in our facilities.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our staff.
