Paths of Peace: Stories of Courage and Empowerment: Ritual Storytelling by Military Veterans and their Families

“Storytelling was never a weakness—it has always been a source of strength and courage,” organizers share.
“Courage is to speak your story with your WHOLE heart.
It is not an act of violence, courage is an action of truth”
Cranaleith Spiritual Center invites you to a transformative community storytelling experience, where the voices of veterans open a path toward healing, connection, and renewal. In a setting rooted in quiet reflection and shared presence, this gathering offers space for stories to be spoken, received, and gently held in community.
This unique performance focuses on veterans sharing their experiences while releasing what no longer serves them. The ritual storytelling is rooted in reflection, resilience, and connection.
Drawing inspiration from ancient warrior cultures—including Greek, Roman, and Native American traditions—this gathering honors the long-standing practice of storytelling as an essential part of returning home from life’s most challenging journeys. Across time, individuals have shared their truths with their communities through powerful narratives—stories that foster healing, inspire growth, and strengthen collective understanding.
This experience reimagines those traditions for the modern era.
In the spirit of Cranaleith’s mission, this program invites us to listen deeply—on one another’s terms—with openness and reverence. As stories unfold, we are called not only to witness, but to recognize the threads of courage, loss, resilience, and hope that bind us together and to engage in a shared experience of presence and reflection
This event is presented by WVE&T (Women Veterans Empowered & Thriving), an organization dedicated to reintegration empowerment programming and modernizing ancient practices of homecoming and expression for today’s communities.
Join us for an afternoon of courage, healing, and connection—where stories become pathways to peace, voices are uplifted, and community is strengthened.
