For the last two summers, Cranaleith has had a new gardener. This year Jess focused on getting the garden set up for future summers by reconstructing the raised garden beds and making new flower beds with the help of volunteers. Next summer these new garden beds will bloom with flowers for natural dye and floral arrangement programs. Cranaleith uses our garden for our kitchen’s needs as well as for programs. The best summer days are when CATCH get to harvest and taste the vegetables that they helped grow and nurture. This August, Jess was able to share the joy of growing watermelons with Catch and the men from St. John’s Hospice. Cranaleith is glad to have had an abundant summer and invites you to the fall harvest of Sunchokes on November 16th.
