Welcoming New Board Members

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to our Board of Directors. Stephen G. Hart is Vice President of Human Resources and Human Capital Development at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Dr. Maureen O’Connell is Chair the Department of Religion and Associate Professor of Christian Ethics at La Salle University.

Mr. Stephen Hart joins Cranaleith’s Board following many years of service on our Work & Spirit Advisory Committee and as a program presenter. Steve resides in Willow Grove, PA. He holds a BS degree in Marketing from La Salle University and an MS degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. An award-winning instructor and lecturer, Steve has taught at Eden Grove School in the UK, New York University, La Salle University and the University of Pennsylvania. Steve is an accomplished singer/songwriter with the acoustic band HMS.

For several years, Dr. Maureen O’Connell has offered the very successful Mural Arts Pilgrimage retreat at Cranalieth. Maureen serves on the boards of the Society for the Arts in Religious and Theological Studies and Rosemont College.  Maureen holds holds a BA in History from Saint Joseph’s University and a PhD in Theological Ethics from Boston College. She is the author of Compassion: Loving Our Neighbor in an Age of Globalization (Orbis Books, 2009) and If These Walls Could Talk: Community Muralism and the Beauty of Justice (The Liturgical Press, 2012), which won the College Theology Book of the Year Award in 2012 and the Catholic Press Association’s first place for books in theology in 2012.
