Honey Harvest at Cranaleith: Bottling Day (onsite)
October 17, 2022
Everybody loves Cranaleith honey! It deliciously captures the wonder and refreshment of Cranaleith in a jar. Plus, we all know that keeping bees makes an important contribution to supporting the bee population and to world food production.
Last year we harvested 460 lbs. of honey and, as you can imagine, it is a lot of work. Would you like to help us with the late crop of 2022 honey? We need volunteers to assist with bottling the honey and labeling the jars. “Worker bees” will receive a complimentary jar of honey for helping.
Open to novices, old-hands and everyone in between. Be prepared to get sticky; and wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Bring a bib apron if you have one. Honey is washable, so all will be well after laundry and soap!
Registration is limited to ten people. Rain Date: Oct. 24.
