Zen and the Passion of Jesus (online)
Ellen Birx
April 5, 2022
Participants will be introduced to Zen meditation as a silent, wordless prayer form that expands our understanding of Lent and the passion of Jesus. Periods of meditation will be interspersed with talks and discussion related to suffering and salvation. Christian teachings and scripture will be juxtaposed with Zen insights, verses, and stories related to these themes. Zen will be presented as a radical emptying process.
