As an experienced leader with expertise in nonprofit administration and operational excellence, Deborah Kost has held positions as Head of School at several independent Catholic and private schools. Kost is known for helping institutions become more strategic in their decision making. She has a strong commitment to celebrating diversity, serving others, and attaining operational efficiency so that organizations can function effectively and live their mission every day.
Kost attended Columbia University’s Teachers College, New York City, New York, as a member of its esteemed Klingenstein Visiting Fellows Program for Head of Schools. She also holds her K-12 Principal Certificate from Villanova University with a Concentration in Educational Policy and Leadership. While at Yale University, she held the role of Assistant Director at the Center for the Study of Learning and Attention Disorders.
While earning her Master of Education from Lehigh University, Kost held concentrations in Educational Leadership, Secondary Education, Biology, Genetics and Teacher Certification. Prior, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Genetics from the University of Arizona.
