The spirituality of African Americans is rooted in Scripture, but also in the elements of literature and poetry and in the music of the Spirituals.  This day of prayer will invite you to explore the richness and depth of these elements as seen through the centuries of writings, poetry and commentaries on Spirituals by African Americans.
